Ten Meter Net Wednesdays, 28.360 0100 UTC

The members of the JARC have decided to begin a 10 meter HF SSB net. The net will take place on Wednesday evenings, at 01:00 UTC. That is 8:00 PM CDT on 28.360 MHz +/- 5kc. Remy Bosio, N5VEG will be the net manager. Join us and lets try and get the ionosphere active. You might just be able to start you way on a Worked All States 10 Meters award with enough check in's.

This frequency was selected so that anyone with a license can use their HF rig. If you do not have a rig and would like to participate, let Keith W5KB know and he will open the club station so that you can check into the net.

VE Test Session's

The next JARC VE session will be Saturday, September 25,2010, 8:30 AM at the New Orleans Hamfest. As usual, you must bring a copy of your license and the original(if testing for an upgrade) a photo ID, and your $14.00 test fee. You may bring some pencils and an un-programmed calculator. We have everything else you might need.

Our August session was again successful as we have three new Technicians and one applicant obtained his first ever license which just so happened to be EXTRA! Congrats to the candidates.
