The Dave Kalter Youth DX Adventure (YDXA) announced an exciting contest for young amateurs in 2017. The co-founders of the YDXA, awarded one amateur radio station to the winner of an essay contest they sponsored.
JARC member Bryant Rascoll, KG5HVO of New Orleans, LA won the station essay contest and was also invited to join a team for a DXpedition trip to Costa Rica on Aug 3-8, 2017. Here is his trip report presented at the JARC General Meeting on August 24, 2017.
